Through training, students will gain both the knowledgeand skills required to successfully work in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA).Key Responsibilities:Study the theory of being a CNAParticipate in skilled lab training and supervised clinical training.Practice nursing skills such as vital signs, bathing techniques, feeding techniques, handwashing, gloves, skin care, transfer techniques, dressing, and grooming to prepare students for the Texas CNA assessment.Supervise CNA students in a clinical environmentEvaluates the clinical performance of the student and the grading of all clinical assignmentsOversee and provide students with instruction in their designated clinical specialtyKeeps accurate clinical records of students' performance, attendance, and behavior each weekProvides weekly verbal and written feedback to students about their clinical performanceResponsible for completing the final clinical evaluation of students' overall clinical performanceMaintains open communication with the course faculty throughout the clinical rotationPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Hold current active licensure in professional nursing:A registered nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN)No disciplinary actions in any jurisdiction
