Solar Laborer General ForemanSUMMARYMortenson is currently seeking aSolar Laborer General Foreman that will be responsible for organizing and directing craft team members based on project schedule, including preparation, handling and supplying of materials to be used by other craft team members.RESPONSIBILITIESA. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresB. Supervise and coordinate activities of foreman and their assigned craft workersC. Interpret specifications, blueprints and job ordersD. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulationsE. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge capacities of equipment and assigned personnelF. Study/analyze in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of jobG. Analyze and resolve work problemsH. Maintain time records I. May make cost estimate for contractsUse logical step-by-step procedures in workPlan work and solve problemsMake decisions based on measurable information May operate machineryJ. Provide leadership to other team members and apprentices by displaying resourcefulness, starting work habits, and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgmentK. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsL. Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performanceM. All other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or GEDMinimum five (5) years of related experiencePrevious experience working with tools, equipment, and machineryStrong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedbackAbility to determine work method from alternatives; ability to work under broad assignments; works according to well-defined, established procedures and standard, detailed instructions; ability to work with minimum assistance and supervisionRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
