Maintenance Technician

We're a family owned business that specializes in the manufacturing of pitas and tortillas. We are rapidly growing and looking to bring on more team members to our Buffalo, NY facility. ______________________________________________________ Maintenance Technician High End Competitive Pay Rate (DOE) Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 5pm - 2am Shift: 3rd _______________________________________________________ Brief Overview of Position: Perform maintenance on plant machinery. Respond to maintenance calls and repair machinery. Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements. Practices and compiles with all company policies and procedures, including safety and confined spaces. Ensures safe and proper use of tools and equipment, ensures hand tools are free of defects: maintains neat and orderly work areas, including proper storage/disposal of lubricants, solvents, paint, and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA and SQF. Responsibilities for specific systems may include but not limited to: HVAC, boilers, air handling units, PLC and industrial PC control devices (Allen Bradley specific), servo motors, conveyance systems, pneumatic, mechanical drives and natural gas fueled ovens. An ideal candidate possess: Machine Maintenance experience is required. Ability to follow directions, all safety procedures, and complete tasks designated by supervisor. Understanding of preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance. Basic understanding of computer technology and programs. Ability to work fast paced environment. Knowledge of 3-phased electricity. Welding knowledge is a plus, but not required. Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and communicate with a team.
