Veterinary Technician Four Paws Veterinary Services Mystic, CT 06355 Starting rate reflective of experience Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Veterinary Technician Experience (Required) Job Description Veterinary Technician Four Paws Veterinary Services located in Mystic, CT is a small animal veterinary hospital seeking an experienced full-time technician at 30-40 hours per week. Prior experience working in a veterinary practice as a technician is required. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and detail orientated, with the ability to multi-task and triage duties appropriately. They will be able to communicate effectively and keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Job duties include: Assisting with physical examinations and documenting patient history and visits Performing routine medical treatments on animals Catheter placement and venipuncture Filling medications/pharmacy Performing in-house lab tests and preparing samples for outside labs Assisting in radiology and ultrasound Communication with clients including behavioral issues, vaccination schedules, and use of preventatives Surgery experience is not required, but would positively impact consideration for employment.
