DescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Production Manager is responsible for leading and directing all personnel and manufacturing activities within Laser, Bindery (Forms Conversion), and Mailshop operations. This role oversees end-to-end workflow across all production and mailshop areas, ensuring efficient execution, consistent quality, and on-time customer delivery. Our direct marketing services deliver results utilizing our in-house production, design capabilities, data and digital expertise, and fully integrated approach producing timely and cost-efficient direct mail packages for our worldwide clients.Responsibilities and Activities:Leads, directs, and mentors a team of Area Leads, Coordinators, Production Operators, and support staff by setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and delivering performance feedback.Assigns tasks, implements schedules, addresses personnel issues, and ensures adequate staffing across Laser, Bindery (Forms Conversion), and Mailshop operations.Promotes a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Coaches and develops Area Leads and Coordinators to effectively lead daily team huddles focused on production execution, quality, safety, and waste reduction.Optimizes workflow across Laser (all Laser operations), Bindery (Forms Conversion), and Mailshopoperations, ensuring smooth handoffs, balanced capacity, and efficient end-to-end production flow.Prints, prioritizes, and manages work orders for each area, ensuring timely execution and adherence to customer deadlines.Implements and maintains quality standards throughout all production and Mailshop processes.Conducts regular quality checks to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve errors, ensuring high-quality output and minimizing rework.Monitors daily operations to ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Addresses safety concerns and hazards promptly, reinforcing a strong safety culture across all shifts.Maintains appropriate inventory levels for materials and supplies, coordinating ordering activities to prevent shortages or production delays.Monitors production waste and implements corrective actions to optimize material utilization and reduce cost.Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity, equipment performance, quality, and labor efficiency.Collaborates with the leadership team, and specifically with Maintenance, to address daily execution opportunities and resolve delivery challenges impacting production flow and customer commitments.Drives collaboration between Maintenance, Area Leads, and Coordinators to ensure timely escalation, clear communication, and rapid resolution of equipment- and process-related issues affecting daily execution.Coordinates collaboration and execution across Laser, Bindery (Forms Conversion), and Mailshop operations by utilizing production data, performance metrics, and visual management tools to drive priorities, improve decision-making, and support daily execution.Drives collaboration, data accuracy, and continuous improvement in how production data is captured, validated, and used across Laser, Bindery (Forms Conversion), and Mailshop operations; proactively identifies data gaps or challenges and works with Area Leads, Coordinators, and supporting teams to resolve them.Establishes wage levels, recommends merit increases, and supports compensation decisions in alignment with company guidelines and budget expectations.Manages employee relations activities including performance evaluations, coaching and corrective actions, documentation, and resolution of employee concerns in partnership with Human Resources.Leads succession planning and talent development efforts by identifying high-potential employees, supporting skill development, and building bench strength for key production and Mailshop roles.Ensures people-management practices, compensation actions, and employee relations activities comply with applicable labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Performs additional responsibilities as required to support operational objectives and team success.EEO StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer.
