Visit www.bolderindustries.com to learn more.Position SummaryLocation: Maryville, MOType: Full Time | Rotating Shifts | Overtime as NeededThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery to support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems, including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and production equipment.Working in a fast-paced industrial environment, the Maintenance Mechanic performs hands-on tasks to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This position plays a key role in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and responding to both scheduled and emergency maintenance needs.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair three phase electrical systems, AC and DC systems, control circuitry, VFDs, and PLCsDiagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems across plant equipmentPerform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure production machinery operates efficientlyInspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctionsPerform emergency repairs as needed to minimize downtime and protect the constraintConduct routine inspections of equipment and plant systems in accordance with company standardsMaintain plant utilities and facility systems through scheduled inspections and maintenance activitiesInspect building systems including heating, ventilation, and other facility infrastructurePerform intermediate maintenance on rotating equipment including pumps, motors, centrifuges, valves, and cylindersDemonstrate working knowledge of pump systems including chugger, vacuum, vane, pneumatic, positive displacement, and centrifugal pumpsMaintain working knowledge of plant systems including de aerator, nitrogen, chiller, air dryer, and wastewater systemsPrepare and support weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work accordinglyParticipate in planning and execution of maintenance and capital projects including equipment installation and facility improvementsCoordinate maintenance activities with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to minimize disruptionMonitor inventory of materials, spare parts, and equipment to ensure availabilityComplete work orders and ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and up to dateEnsure completion and proper documentation of all records, reports, and inspectionsSupport and contribute to Process Safety Management and safety programs including Job Safety Analysis, Safe Work Permits, Process Hazard Analysis, and Pre Startup Safety ReviewsEnsure adherence to all quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliancePerform routine maintenance for company vehicles as neededAssist in training and development of Level 1 TechniciansComplete all tasks as assigned by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required2 or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferredExperience with electrical systems including 480V three phase systemsStrong mechanical aptitude with experience in rotating equipment and hydraulic systemsBasic understanding of PLCs, controls, and instrumentation preferredAbility to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentationStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and manage priorities in a fast paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsFrequent movement including walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and climbingAbility to work in hot and cold environments for extended periodsAbility to work in environments with dust, chemicals, and industrial exposuresMust be able to perform duties while wearing required personal protective equipmentWorking ConditionsThis role operates within an active chemical recycling plant environment. Exposure to carbon black, hydrocarbon oils, and vapor streams is expected.
