Summary: This position supports the Organization in the following manner:The behavioral health therapist provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment to Heart of Ohio Family Health's patients by conducting psychosocial assessments and screeners, providing psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services.Position: Full timeReports to: Behavioral Health ManagerSupervises: NoDress Requirement: Business CasualWork Schedule:Monday through Friday during standard business hoursTimes are subject to change due to business necessityExempt þJob Duties, these are considered essential to the successful performance of this position:Conduct psychosocial assessments and behavioral health screeners.Provides behavioral health counseling to patients with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.Assist with initiating appropriate referrals for patients with substance use disorders who need a higher level of care.Completes screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment.Assist other providers as needed by administering the highest quality patient care in a sensitive and respectful mannerAccurately documentation in appropriate medical recordAssist with triaging patients referred to behavioral health services or in need of crisis intervention services.Perform the tasks of an LSW/LISWFollows all policies, procedures and work rulesIf licensure includes -S, may be required to signs off on or support non-independent licensed social workers providing counseling services.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. All facilities have a medical office environment with front-desk reception area, separate patient examination rooms, nursing stations, pharmacy stock room, business offices, hallways and private toilet facilities. All facilities are ADA compliant.This position's primary work area is the clinical portion of the facility; ie, patient examination rooms, hallways, and other clinically assigned areas.The clinical area is:kept at a normal working temperaturesanitized dailymaintains standard environment furniture with adjustable chairsmaintains standard office equipment; ie, computer, copier, fax machine, etc. at a normal working heightPhysical Demands and Requirements: these may be modified to accurately perform the essential functions of the position:Mobility = ability to easily move without assistanceBending = occasional bending from the waist and kneesReaching = occasional reaching no higher than normal arm stretchLifting/Carry = ability to lift and carry a normal stack of documents and/or filesPushing/Pulling = ability to push or pull a normal office environmentDexterity = ability to handle and/or grasp, use a keyboard, calculator, and other office or medical equipment accurately and quicklyHearing = ability to accurately hear and react to the normal tone of a person's voiceVisual = ability to safely and accurately see and react to factors and objects in a normal settingSpeaking = ability to pronounce words clearly to be understood by another individualJob Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)Must be Social Work Licensed in the State of Ohio (LSW/LISW)Preferred experience: Counseling or internship in mental health counseling.Required education: Bachelor's degree in appropriate field; Master's degree strongly preferredExperience with integrated behavioral health preferred.Multi-lingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) and/or experience in working with interpreters/diverse patient populations is preferred.Ability to successfully guide others to create an efficient, harmonious work environmentKnowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to Social Work LicensesEMR/EHR experience requiredCompetency in working sensitively and respectfully with people of various cultures and social statusSkills to expertly deliver exceptional health care to the public
