Job Description QC Tech PositionA Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for inspecting rotationally molded products to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements. This position works closely with production, trimming, and shipping teams to identify defects, maintain quality records, and support continuous improvement efforts.Key Responsibilities:Inspect roto-molded products for defects, damage, and specification compliancePerform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools and gaugesDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify and report product or process issues to supervisors and production teamsVerify product appearance, fit, finish, and assembly qualityConduct in-process and final inspections of productsAssist with root cause investigations and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with company quality standards and proceduresCommunicate quality concerns clearly and professionallyMaintain clean and organized inspection areasAssist with audits, testing, and quality improvement initiativesFollow all company safety policies and proceduresProperly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)Typical day-to-day functions:Review production schedules and inspection prioritiesInspect molded products during and after productionMeasure products and verify specificationsIdentify cosmetic or structural defectsRecord inspection findings and complete quality documentationCommunicate defects or concerns with production staff and supervisorsVerify corrective actions have been completedConduct final inspections before products move to shippingMaintain organized inspection stations and toolsParticipate in quality meetings or improvement discussionsAssist with training employees on quality expectationsSkills and Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to identify defects, inconsistencies, and quality concernsGood verbal and written communication skillsBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gaugesProblem-solving and critical-thinking abilitiesAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsTime management and organizational skillsBasic computer and data entry skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentHigh school diploma or GEDPrevious manufacturing or quality control experience preferredExperience in roto molding or plastics manufacturing is a plusAbility to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and quality standardsAbility to stand for extended periods during shiftsFrequent lifting, bending, twisting, and reachingAbility to lift up to70 pounds regularlyAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and dustKnowledge of workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements preferredReliable attendance and punctualityReliable transportationSecond shift is M-Th 4pm - 2:30am, overtime as scheduled.$20/ hour starting DOEBenefits:Health Insurance paid at 75%Vision Insurance paid at 100%Dental InsurancePet insurance paid for one pet401K matchingPaid holidaysOvertime opportunitiesRetention and referral bonuses#hc79977
