Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen. This position requires a strong understanding of menu planning, food preparation, and leadership within a fast-paced food service environment. The Sous Chef will assist in creating innovative dishes while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. Duties Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, considering dietary needs and preferences. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Help cook and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes that align with restaurant concepts. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols. Participate in daily prep work to ensure all ingredients are ready for service. Experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Experience in menu planning and dietary department operations is a plus. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
