Senior Salesforce Functional Business Analyst – ContractLocationRemote (Preference for candidates based in New Jersey for occasional onsite meetings)Employment TypeContract (1-Year Duration)Pay Rate$60–$70/hourOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Salesforce Functional Business Analyst on a 1-year contract. This role is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates located in New Jersey who can attend occasional onsite meetings.This is a functional, business-facing role—we are not seeking a Salesforce Administrator or highly technical developer profile. The ideal candidate excels at working across multiple business functions, translating needs into requirements, and driving alignment between stakeholders and delivery teams.You will play a key role in bridging business and technology, improving processes, and supporting the successful delivery of Salesforce and enterprise system enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Cross-Functional Collaboration (70%)Partner with stakeholders across multiple business units to understand processes, pain points, and opportunitiesLead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviewsTranslate business needs into:User stories & acceptance criteriaFunctional requirements & use casesProcess flows, swim-lane diagrams, and wireframesDocument current (AS-IS) and future state (TO-BE) processesCollaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to define solutionsAct as a liaison between business users, product teams, and technical teamsProvide guidance on best practices and user experience improvementsTesting & Delivery Support (20%)Partner with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliveryFacilitate and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Ensure solutions align with business needs and expectationsTeam Support (5%)Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to other team membersAdditional Responsibilities (5%)Support additional initiatives and projects as neededRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Salesforce Functional Business Analyst (not admin/developer-focused)Strong track record of collaborating across multiple business functionsExperience gathering and documenting B2B, customer-centric requirementsExpertise in creating:Business requirements and functional specificationsUser stories, workflows, and process diagramsWireframes and UI/UX conceptsExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and full SDLCHands-on experience with Jira or similar toolsExperience documenting system integrations across enterprise platformsStrong background in business process design and workflow analysisExperience working with multiple data sources and ERP systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience in the manufacturing industryExperience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Experience CloudFamiliarity with Google Workspace and LucidchartBusiness Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP)Core CompetenciesStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication (translating between business and technical teams)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to influence decisions and drive alignmentStrong prioritization and time management skillsHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsCustomer-focused mindsetEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business (IT focus), or related field5+ years of experience in business analysis and systems designProven success delivering medium to large-scale enterprise projectsExperience in B2B environments (manufacturing, construction, or similar industries preferred)
