A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - NICU/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM/n• Every other weekend coverage required/n• No call responsibilities/n• Float to pediatrics/PICU/nursery when needed/n• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse/n• Work in Level III NICU caring for surgical patients 23 weeks gestation and up/n• Care for neonates requiring cooling therapy and all respiratory modes/n• Perform specialized procedures including PICC line insertions, bronchoscopy assistance, LISA procedures, VCUG, MRI support, swallow studies, and line insertions/n• Manage specialized equipment including jet ventilators, high frequency ventilators, standard ventilators, high flow oxygen, CPAP, and ostomy care/n• Provide care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, UAC/UVC, IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, and neonatal abstinence syndrome/n• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required/n• Travel nursing experience required/n• Required certifications: BLS and NRP (AHA certified)/n• California nursing license required at time of submission/n• Epic charting experience preferred/n• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing/n• 60 hours of orientation provided/n• 7-year work history verification required/n• Must live at least 50 miles from facility or accept local rate/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility features a 35-bed Level III NICU with 29 rooms and maintains a daily census of approximately 23 patients. The unit provides comprehensive care for the most critically ill neonates and infants, offering advanced surgical services and specialized procedures.
