Our work helps keep Texas communities running — one panel, pump, and plant at a time. Position Summary We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our field service team. This role is hands-on, field-based, and ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working well with others, and taking pride in doing things the right way. You’ll travel to customer sites (typically 1–2 hours away) to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control panels, lift stations, and automation systems for water wells, water plants, and wastewater facilities. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on electrical control systems and components. Diagnose issues in control panels, wiring, instrumentation, and field communications. Perform electrical work safely and accurately — including wiring terminations, conduit work, and circuit testing. Assist in installation of new control panels, VFDs, transmitters, flowmeters, and PLC/SCADA-related equipment. Interface with customers in the field; communicate clearly and professionally. Document work performed using company software (training provided). Maintain a company vehicle and tools in a clean, professional manner. Participate in occasional after-hours service calls when needed. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as an electrician, controls technician, or in a related IT / communications / cabling role. Understanding of basic electrical systems (120/240/480V), wiring, and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Comfortable driving 1–2 hours to customer sites (company truck provided). Ability to work outdoors in a variety of field conditions. Team-oriented attitude with strong communication and professionalism. Basic computer literacy (email, work orders, mobile apps). Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or automation systems is a plus, but not required — we’ll train the right person.
