Procurement Engineer (HVAC / Mechanical Systems)

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to support sourcing and supplier strategy for complex HVAC and mechanical systems within mission-critical and federal environments.This role blends engineering expertise with procurement execution, ensuring technical requirements translate into effective purchasing decisions.Key Responsibilities:Interpret HVAC/mechanical specifications and align with sourcing strategyLead RFP/RFQ processes and evaluate supplier capabilitiesNegotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract termsPartner with engineering and project teams to ensure technical alignmentSupport supplier selection for complex infrastructure projectsTrack cost, performance, and vendor delivery metricsContribute to procurement planning across multiple projectsQualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)35 years of experience in:engineeringprocurementor a hybrid of bothExperience with HVAC, MEP, or mechanical systemsExposure to vendor coordination, sourcing, or supplier managementWhat Were Looking For:Experience in construction, infrastructure, or federal environmentsFamiliarity with RFPs, contract negotiation, and supplier evaluationAbility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearanceAdditional Details:Location: Washington, DC MetroTravel: Collaborative, fast-paced project environment
