Position Title: Associate General Counsel Sr. – Technology and International Operations
Job Description
The Associate General Counsel Sr. is responsible for providing legal advice on enterprise-wide technology and international operations matters and will effectively assist and advise on the development, use and sale of digital health technology products and services and international healthcare operations services.
Location
This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, with flexibility for virtual work. Locations other than those listed may be considered.
Responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the Technology & International Legal team.
Provide legal advice on digital health technology law topics such as AI, SaaS, BPaaS, software as a medical device, technology product development lifecycle, and data use to business stakeholders.
Collaborate across the enterprise to support technology product development and establish relationships with product, strategy, sales, marketing, privacy, compliance, the Responsible AI team, information security, risk management, and litigation.
Provide legal support for international teams offering technology development, services, and healthcare operations to U.S. healthcare system clients.
Assess legal risk and advise on mitigation options; implement risk mitigation in conjunction with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Partner with Public Affairs and Compliance to interpret evolving regulations and advise on gap assessments.
Provide ongoing internal education and training on legal issues.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and guide non‑attorney and attorney staff; supervise outside counsel as appropriate.
Work as a strategic partner with senior leaders, managing work independently while adapting to changing legal support needs.
Prioritize competing priorities, communicate effectively, maintain a positive attitude, and produce high‑quality work product in a fast‑paced environment.
Demonstrate high integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a JD, current license to practice law, and a minimum of 15 years of industry and/or technical legal experience post‑licensure, including experience managing outside counsel; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience
JD from an ABA‑accredited law school.
Experience in a complex, highly matrixed and regulated company.
Experience advising on technology products and service delivery and/or healthcare operations services in a technology or healthcare company.
Experience advising international subsidiaries of a U.S. company regarding service delivery and alignment with international and U.S. law.
Deep understanding of relevant laws and regulations, with a demonstrated ability to stay current on industry standards related to technology solutions including AI.
Salary Range
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary range for this specific position is $210,672 to $330,372.
