This role is hands-on and production-focused, playing a crucial part in early-stage manufacturing and scale-up efforts of advanced energy products. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, electrochemical systems, or precision assembly and will thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesAssemble fuel cell components and sub-assemblies according to engineering documentation, work instructions, and quality standards.Perform cell fabrication processes such as coating, stacking, loading, sealing, and alignment.Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and test stations.Conduct functional testing, inspection, and data collection for fuel cells and related components.Record production and test data accurately in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or batch travelers.Identify process issues, defects, and equipment malfunctions; assist with root-cause analysis.Support continuous improvement, yield improvement, and process optimization initiatives.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with EHS standards.Collaborate with engineers, quality, and operations teams to support production goals.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing, electrochemical systems, or precision assembly.Proficiency in using calipers, multimeters, and gauges.Familiarity with cleanroom, lab, or pilot production environments.Basic understanding of quality systems such as ISO, SPC, and root-cause analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in a technical field.2+ years of working experience in manufacturing, electronics, systems, or lab production environments.Experience with process scale-up or early manufacturing operations.Prior experience working with fuel cells, batteries, ceramics, or high-temperature systems.Work EnvironmentThis position involves working in a manufacturing and laboratory production setting with exposure to industrial equipment and high-temperature testing environments. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as needed, and the role may require occasional overtime during production ramps.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
