We are seeking a CFO Services Intern to join our team, with an anticipated start date of late May or early June 2026.The CFO Services Intern is responsible for providing outsourced accounting solutions for a variety of clients. This includes processing accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll, as well as coding transactions and running financial reports. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assists with managing the accounts payable process including, vendor management, invoice entry, 1099 reporting/filing, payroll activities, and payment processing for clientsAssists Accountants with maintaining the chart of accounts and all general ledger activitiesAssist Accountants with completing month-end accounting close with account reconciliations and financial statement reporting for clientsReviews historical information and other research items when processing and completing work assignmentsCreates and updates process documentation/job aidsLearns the functionality of Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online, as well as various other accounting software that clients utilizeGains experience using Excel, using basic and intermediate functionsProblem-solves and works with Brixey & Meyer team or client staff members to find missing data and work through issuesManages personal schedule to meet the deadlines and demands of multiple clientsParticipates in Firm committees and/or activitiesPerforms other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS:Working towards Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related majorValid Driver’s license and/or access to transportation to various client locations, up to 1 hour from the home office locationAdvanced computer literacyStrong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlinesProven ability to work individually and/or collaboratively within a team settingOpen to constant learning and training from other team members due to the ongoing diversity of client engagementsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyDesire to have fun with your work and to contribute to our unique company cultureBrixey & Meyer provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
