Senior Software Engineer - Platform
As a Senior Software Engineer supporting the Rocket Close Platform team, you will design and develop scalable back-end software solutions with heavy integration focus to our new platform initiatives. You'll use various programming languages and cloud technologies to develop, improve, test, and maintain software that meets user needs while leveraging AI and modern development practices.About The RoleDesign, develop, or modify software by using various programming languages (.NET, JavaScript, Python, PostgreSQL ) depending on the needs of the product(s)Develop and maintain back-end services with heavy focus on platform integration and scalabilityModify existing software to fix errors, improve overall quality and functionality, or update integrations with other softwareAnalyze user needs to determine how software should be built or if existing software should be modifiedDevelop and/or perform software automated testing procedures, solutions, and frameworks to ensure software functions as neededTranslate business requirements and specifications into usable and scalable softwareProcess and understand capabilities and limitations of data outputs from the softwareParticipate in design and code reviewsAssist with delivery estimatesDetermine and execute software deployment processes using Azure DevOps pipelinesLeverage AI and Claude for development efficiency and problem-solvingAct as a mentor to other team membersSubject to participate in on-call rotations to support business functionsAbout YouRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in software development and design5+ years of experience in database management as it relates to software development, preferably with PostgreSQLHeavy expertise in .NET and AWS technologiesProficiency with JavaScript, Python, and PostgreSQLStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CloudWatch for monitoringExperience with Azure DevOps for pipeline management and CI/CDExperience using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestrationExperience with GitHub for version control and collaborationProficiency with AI tools and Claude for development workflowsExperience translating business requirements into scalable software solutionsStrong understanding of software testing frameworks and automated testing proceduresPreferred QualificationsExperience with software development frameworks and platforms such as C# and .NET 8+Amazon Connect experience is strongly preferredMentoring and leadership experience within engineering teamsWhat You’ll GetOur team members fuel our strategy, innovation and growth, so we ensure the health and well-being of not just you, but your family, too! The compensation for this position is $107,000.00-$241,500.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
