Interim-RN Director of Nursing
Vian Nursing & Rehab is taking applications for an Interim-RN Director of Nursing. It is expected to be a 5-6 month assignment. We are a Skilled/LTC facility with an excellent survey history.
Director of Nursing will supervise the nursing department. Some job responsibilities include:
1. Ensures coordination of nursing services, including: care planning, MDS, staff scheduling and assignments.
2. Assists with evaluating potential admissions by reviewing medical records and communicating with family and/or hospital staff or other caregivers.
3. Monitoring staff performance based on facility and regulatory requirements.
4. Ensures completion of inservice and new staff orientation training.
5. Performs and assists in performing audits of various processes, including infection control, nursing documentation, and other data. Reports and makes recommendations based on findings.
6. Management of the facility's infection control program.
7. Frequently communicates with facility management regarding needs, issues, or concerns.
8. Performs quality assessment and assurance for the nursing department and facility's infection control processes.
9. Assists in developing and updating nursing policies and procedures as needed.
10. Participates in regulatory survey processes.
11. Provides disciplinary action when necessary to nursing staff members.
