Job Description Project Engineer – Structural SteelFull-time | Newark, NJWhat's in it for youWork on a $1B+ infrastructure projectJoin a top-tier ENR construction environmentHigh-impact role across major public works and transit systemsExposure to complex builds (bridges, tunnels, water systems)Strong career growth within large-scale heavy civil programsAbout the roleThis is a project engineering role focused on structural steel within large-scale infrastructure projects.You'll support execution across design, procurement, and construction—ensuring projects are buildable, on schedule, and aligned with cost expectations.What you'll be doingCoordinate contract, design, and shop drawings to ensure constructabilityInterface with fabricators, subcontractors, and owners to resolve design and procurement issuesCollaborate with engineering teams to develop means & methodsSupport cost tracking, forecasting, and project financial visibilityDrive alignment across teams to ensure efficient project executionRequirementsB.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from accredited institutionMinimum of 5 years experience in structural steel erection, heavy civil construction, bridge, vertical construction, or other steel structuresExperience actively interfacing with fabricators, subcontractors, & owners to resolve design issues, procurement issues, and constructability issuesCoordination of contract drawings, design drawings, and shop drawings to facilitate an erectable final structureExperience actively interface with design engineers & construction engineers to develop thorough "means & methods" processAccurately realize "to-date" costs and project "final" costs thru completionProficiency with MS Office products (Word/Excel)Excellent written and verbal skillsNo sponsorship at this time
