Join our team and contribute to a dynamic environment where innovation and collaboration thrive.Position SummaryThe Senior Tax Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing complex tax engagements, managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and supporting firm growth initiatives. This role requires deep technical tax expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to deliver strategic tax planning and compliance services to a diverse client base. Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance & ReviewPrepare, review and oversee preparation of complex federal and state tax returns, including:Corporations (C-Corp and S-Corp)PartnershipsTrust and EstatesHigh-net-worth individualsMulti-state entitiesEnsure compliance with IRS and state/local tax regulationsResearch and resolve advanced tax issuesManage tax provision calculations and ASC 740 mattersTax Planning & AdvisoryDevelop and implement strategic tax planning strategiesAdvise clients on entity structuring, mergers & acquisitions, and succession planningProvide guidance on federal and Texas-specific tax mattersIdentify tax-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategiesClient Relationship ManagementServe as primary point of contact for key clientsBuild and maintain long-term client relationshipsParticipate in business development activities, networking, and proposal preparationIdentify cross-selling opportunities within the firmLeadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and train tax seniors and staffReview workpapers and provide constructive feedbackManage engagement budgets, billing, and realizationAssist in recruiting and onboarding new team members QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred)Active CPA license in Texas or Enrolled AgentExperience7+ years of progressive public accounting tax experienceExperience managing complex engagements and supervising staffStrong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax lawsExperience with CCH AxcessSkills & CompetenciesAdvanced tax research and technical writing skillsStrong leadership and team management abilitiesExcellent communication and client service skillsStrong organizational and project management skillsHigh attention to detail and problem-solving mindsetPreferred ExperienceExperience with real estate, oil & gas, healthcare, or professional services industriesFamiliarity with Texas franchise taxExposure to international tax considerations Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary (commensurate with experience)Performance-based bonusesComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefitsShort-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with employer matchOpen Paid time off and paid holidaysContinuing professional education (CPE) supportOn-site gym access Work Environment·        In office·        Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. We pride ourselves on flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed during peak seasons
