divh2Relief Bus Driver/Dispatcher/h2pThe job of Relief Bus Driver/Dispatcher is done for the purpose of developing route directions; confirming that route assignments are completed; dispatch duties; responds to parental and staff calls; transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle operation is in safe operating condition and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses./ppResponsibilities:/pulliAdvises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior/liliAssesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations/liliAssists students and other passengers/liliAttends meetings, trainings, etc./liliCleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior/liliConducts emergency evacuation drills/liliConfirms route assignments have been completed and drivers have returned from their routes/liliDevelops route directions for all routes/liliDrives school bus/s/liliEnsures sport shuttles are staffed for middle school athletics/liliFuels assigned vehicle (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.)/liliLogs empty activity buses and logs keys when drivers return from routes/liliManages lost student searches for school staff/liliPerforms dispatch duties and dispatches mechanics, as needed, and coordinates coverage for other buses/liliPerforms pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.)/liliPrepares documents and reports (e.g. field trips reports, incident reports, inspections records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, etc.)/liliReports observations and/or incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.)/liliResponds to inquiries (e.g. students, parents, other school personnel, etc.)/liliSupervises students and other passengers during transit/liliAssists other personnel, as may be required/li/ulpQualifications:/ppJob related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required./ppAlcohol and Drug Test, Pre-placement Physical Exam, Criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance, Random Drug Testing/ppThis is a 10 month School Year position only./p/div
