Church's Chicken Shift LeaderThe Shift Leader serves as the on-duty restaurant leader, ensuring team members are properly trained, supported, and motivated to deliver outstanding guest service. This role oversees shift operations, food quality, safety, and cleanliness while enforcing company policies and leading by example. Supervise shift operations to ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous guest service Ensure all menu items are prepared and served according to Church's standards and procedures Assign, monitor, and support team members to ensure efficient workflow and accountability Coach and train team members by demonstrating proper service and food preparation procedures Assist team members during peak periods to maintain service speed and quality Enforce safety, security, sanitation, and cash-handling policies Perform opening and closing duties in accordance with Shift Awareness Checklists Monitor food handling, storage, rotation, and icing procedures Ensure team members arrive on time and are prepared for their shifts Maintain professional, ethical leadership behaviors at all times Perform other duties as assigned by management An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of: Strong understanding of food safety and store operations. Effective leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Reliable decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Basic cash handling and inventory tracking. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset. An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience: Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience. Must be able to do basic math at the eighth-grade level. On-the-job training is provided for all new team members. Working environment and physical requirements: Must be 18 years or older to apply Maintains Food Handlers and Food Safety Certification as required by Refuel. Must be able to stand during the entire work shift. Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products. Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
