AP Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AP Accountant in Medford, MA.Key Tasks: Receive, review, and accurately code vendor invoices while maintaining organized records of open and paid invoices, including supporting documentation Match invoices to packing slips and receiving documentation and enter invoices promptly and accurately Verify invoice details, quantities, pricing, and vendor credits prior to processing Obtain required approvals from appropriate departments to ensure timely and accurate payments Maintain an up-to-date filing system for all open (unpaid) invoices Review and verify monthly Accounts Payable statements to ensure vendor accounts are accurate Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders Accounting & Administrative Support: Reconcile credit card receipts to monthly statements and prepare documentation for posting Assist with payroll processing as needed Update and maintain job lists, job files, quote lists, and quote files Maintain and organize insurance certificates and W-9 documentation Open, date stamp, sort, and distribute incoming mail; Prepare and process outgoing mail Update and manage various spreadsheets and reports as required Order and maintain inventory of office supplies Answer incoming calls from customers, vendors, and internal departments, providing support and routing inquiries as needed Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a related role Experience with full-cycle accounts payable processes Basic understanding of accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping Strong organizational and communication skills Professional and customer-service-oriented approach when working with vendors and internal teams Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
