Grounds Maintenance Technician / Landscaping Crew Member (Commercial Properties – Year-Round Work) Company: MEVA Facility Services Location: Hurricane Area (WV) Job Type: Full-Time (Year-Round) Job Overview MEVA Facility Services is seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team maintaining commercial properties including business parks and shopping complexes. This is a year-round position focused on keeping properties clean, safe, and presentable through routine lawn care, cleanup, and seasonal maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and can work efficiently as part of a crew. Responsibilities The Grounds Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting with: Routine Grounds Maintenance Litter pickup and debris removal (parking lots, sidewalks, landscape beds) Sweeping and cleaning dumpster pad/enclosure areas Blowing off sidewalks, storefront areas, and curbs Lawn & Landscaping Maintenance Mowing grass using commercial mowers Weed eating and trimming around curbs, signs, poles, and building edges Edging sidewalks and landscape beds Light shrub trimming and vegetation control Seasonal / Additional Services Leaf blowing and removal during fall season Pressure washing sidewalks and common areas (training provided) Storm cleanup including removal of small limbs and debris Equipment & Jobsite Care Safely operating and maintaining company equipment Loading/unloading tools and materials Keeping trucks and equipment clean and organized Reporting any property issues or hazards to management Requirements Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently Must be dependable and show up consistently Must be able to work well as part of a crew Basic equipment experience is a plus (mowers, trimmers, blowers) Valid driver’s license Pay & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity for raises and advancement Consistent year-round work Overtime opportunities available during peak season Work with a growing company with steady commercial accounts Work Schedule Monday – Friday (weekend work occasionally available if desired) Typical daytime hours (weather dependent) Why Work With MFS MFS is a fast-growing facility services company providing commercial property maintenance and repairs across West Virginia.
