As a Mortgage Lending Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding members through the mortgage lending process, providing financial advice, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Key responsibilities include assessing loan applications, offering tailored financial services, maintaining thorough knowledge of mortgage products, and driving the loan process from application through closing and funding. The MLC partners with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate loan origination and may support loan sales to the secondary market.QualificationsMinimum three (3) years residential lending experience.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.Knowledge and experience in mortgage products and underwriting processes.Working knowledge of Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac underwriting and eligibility requirements.Strong skills in Customer Service, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with members by providing excellent support.Proficiency in Financial Services and Sales, with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals and deliver value-driven solutions.Demonstrated production and/or loan pipeline management experience.Effective communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse members and address their financial needs.Previous experience in a credit union or similar financial institution is preferred.Proficiency in using financial software systems and tools is an asset.Exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness.
