Continuing Care Retirement Communities and Assisted Living Facilities for the ElderlyBusiness Schools and Computer and Management TrainingAdministration of Human Resource ProgramsActivities Related to Credit IntermediationSoftware PublishersSenior Mainframe DeveloperDataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer for a long‐term contract opportunity located in Raleigh, NC .Hybrid ; On‐call availability for nightly batch processes , including weekdays and weekends.ResponsibilitiesSupport several mission‐critical systems and processes.Provide technical expertise for ongoing interface operations, inquiry‐only applications, the Child Placement and Payment System (CPPS), and Central Registry applications for the Child Welfare program.Will support PATH NC Data Conversion activities.Lead data conversion efforts and implement application enhancements based on evolving business needs.Diagnose and resolve application issues and provide production support using technologies such as CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, stored procedures, and other supporting mainframe tools.Involves senior‐level business and systems analysis, modeling and design, and programming using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.Participate in effort estimation, consulting and planning for system modifications and enhancements, and monitoring technical activities to ensure alignment with schedules, milestones, and deliverables.Provide regular status updates, time reporting, and ensure quality assurance and compliance with state, departmental, and divisional standards.Required Skills10 Years - Experience in Software development and debugging using Mainframe technologies such as Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO, VSAM7 Years - Hands on experience in Programming using DB2(Z/OS), DB2 SQLs, Stored procedures7 Years - Experience with source code management tool like Endevor5 Years - Experience with QMF, SPUFI, and FILEAID/CA-tools.5 Years - Extensive experience in debugging COBOL/DB2 application code using tools like XPEDITOR/CA‐Intertest4 Years - Experience with X/PTR(reporting tool)5 Years - Experience with Zeke or similar job scheduler tools5 Years - Experience with structured system development methodologies such as agile (preferred), waterfall7 Years - Experience in understanding and gathering business requirements, reviewing specifications, developing test cases, and performing unit/system testing5 Years - Excellent written and presentation skills using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)5 Years - Ability to develop good working relationships/partnerships with clients5 Years - Ability to translate and communicate highly technical concepts to both technical and non‐IT business users5 Years - Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills2 Years - Participate in on‐call support for nightly batch processesDesired Skill1 Year - Experience with CA‐Easytrieve/PlusBenefitsThis opportunity is available on a corp‐to‐corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
