Pre-Roll Machine Operator

*Job Title: Pre-Roll Machine Operator* *Location: *Sandy, OR *Position Type:* Full-Time *Department:* Production & Manufacturing *Reports To:* Production Manager *Position Overview* We are seeking a self starting, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined *Pre-Roll Machine Operator* to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining a high-capacity automated Blackbird Roll Pro pre-roll manufacturing machine. You will play a vital role in maintaining production output, ensuring tight weight/quality specifications, minimizing material waste, and upholding compliance and safety standards. *Key Responsibilities: Equipment Operation & Production Output* * Setup, calibrate, and operate Blackbird Roll Pro. * Sort, weigh, mill cannabis biomass * Maintain production schedule * Monitor machine parameters during operation to ensure optimal throughput, continuous flow, and consistent roll density. * Troubleshoot minor mechanical jams, operational faults, or feed interruptions promptly to minimize production downtime. *Quality Assurance & Inspection* * Perform regular weight checks, density audits, visual inspections, and burn test sampling on finished pre-rolls. * Ensure all products meet exact target weight tolerances and company quality standards. * Reject off-spec units and log material loss or rework accurately. *Sanitation & Preventive Maintenance* * Conduct daily end-of-shift cleaning, teardown, and sanitization of contact surfaces and equipment components in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Execute routine scheduled preventive maintenance, lubrication, and wear-and-tear component checks. * Work with maintenance personnel or vendor support to diagnose complex equipment issues. *Inventory, Data Entry & Compliance* * Accurately track raw material utilization, batch yields, and finished product counts in production tracking sheets or digital management tools (e.g., Google Sheets, METRC). * Maintain adherence to all state regulatory compliance guidelines and safety policies. * Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace at all times. *Qualifications & Requirements* * *Experience:* 1+ years of experience in automated machine operation, packaging line operation, or manufacturing (cannabis, food processing, or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred). * *Mechanical Aptitude:* Strong hands-on mechanical skills; comfort working with automated motors, sensors, pneumatic lines, and PLC touchscreens. * *Attention to Detail:* Precision and diligence when conducting quality control measurements and recording batch metrics. * *Physical Requirements:* Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with fine manual dexterity in a controlled production environment. * *Regulatory:* Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain any required state regulatory credentials or permits (e.g., Worker Permit/Handler Card). *Preferred Qualifications* * Prior experience operating specialized cannabis automation equipment (e.g., RollPros Blackbird, Futurola Knockbox, or automated filling equipment). * Familiarity with inventory tracking, BOM tracking, or digital batch reporting tools. * Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or standard operating procedure (SOP) development. *What We Offer* * Competitive hourly wages based on experience. * Opportunities for advancement and cross-training across extraction and manufacturing teams. * PTO * A collaborative, growth-oriented working environment.
