When it comes to tech, we're seeking experienced individuals who can efficiently identify problems and devise solutions. You will be a foundational team member with the opportunity to work on all aspects of the application and shape the technical future of CivilGrid. Joining at this stage, you will build core systems that will help us scale quickly, and benefit from tremendous upside as we grow.Responsibilities Design and build end-to-end features, covering everything from database models to user-facing components using ReactTackle a variety of areas: web and mobile applications, mapping interfaces, data processing pipelines, algorithmic relevancy, and real-time collaboration toolsProfile and tune performance across the entire stack to ensure efficient and responsive systemsImplement and maintain analytics, health monitoring, alerts, and logging to maintain operational visibility and system reliabilityIs This You? 3 years of experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly with React and Node.js (or equivalent frameworks)Start Up Ready: Autonomous, moves fast, takes initiative without being askedExperience working on a complex B2B ProductStrong foundational knowledge of PostgresFamiliarity with geospatial frameworks (PostGIS, GeoJSON, map rendering libraries, etc.) is a plusConduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and offer constructive feedback to help grow the team's technical capabilitiesStrong verbal and written communication, able to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectivelyBonus Qualification: A degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field (B.S. or M.S.)Benefits and Perks Interesting and challenging workLots of room for growthCompetitive salary and equityHealth insuranceFlexible and remote-friendly work environmentFSA (health and dependent care)Unlimited PTO
