Safety Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to serve as a key resource in promoting and enforcing a comprehensive Safety Program. This role requires strong independent judgment in evaluating, developing, and implementing safety standards, with the authority to make critical recommendations that directly impact business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Safety Advisor will conduct regular job site visits and proactive safety audits throughout Southern California, analyzing findings and presenting improvement recommendations to leadership. Responsibilities include performing Root Cause Analysis investigations, developing corrective action reports, and providing recommendations that may influence employment decisions. This role carries the authority to halt operations or shut down job sites when imminent hazards are identified.Additional duties include developing and reviewing safe work procedures, conducting hazard analyses, facilitating job hazard awareness with crews, and serving as a liaison between internal teams and external agencies on health, safety, and environmental matters. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field — or 10+ years of equivalent experience; professional certifications (CSP, CHST, or similar) strongly preferred4–5 years of progressive safety experience in construction, utilities, or industrial environmentsAdvanced knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA standardsBilingual in English and SpanishProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteValid Class C driver's license with a clean recordAbility to work in varied outdoor and adverse conditions
