Bartender

Java Nation in Silver Spring, MD is looking for an experienced, part-time Bartender to join our team. We are looking for people who share our passion for creating and serving delicious handcrafted food, drinks and freshly roasted coffee. Candidates must be positive, friendly and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position part-time, with 3-4 shifts per week. Bartenders will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, prepare and serve beverages and food. Duties will also include taking food and drink orders and ensuring that guests are served properly and that all payments are collected. You will also create new drink recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. We are looking for a professional, high-energy candidates with excellent communication skills to serve food, drinks, classic cocktails and exciting artisan coffee-based cocktails to our customers. To succeed as a Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. You will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.
