Electrical Project Engineer
Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will act as the primary technical partner with our customers. Our project engineers are the technical experts for Power projects.
Responsibilities and duties:
Design and consult on complex jobs.
Read and interpret customer job specifications.
Create drawings including the Single line diagram, Front View, Section View, Bill of material, Schematics diagrams, Elementary diagrams
Work with a team to create the shop drawings.
Transmit drawings to both production and the customer.
Interface with project management, customer, and production.
Work with the testers to trouble shoot the switchgear during production tests.
Qualifications And Skills:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline and 0-3 years of equivalent work experience.
Experience with SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Promis-E or similar CAD program
Ability to read customer specifications, compare to the quote and provide technical feedback to project management and the customer on differences
Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of medium voltage switchgear.
Basic to thorough understanding of power system application along with relay application and coordination
Able to understand, interpret and trouble shoot most customers’ needs and problems
Provide technical assistance to sales, engineering, and inspection on daily problems
Check completed jobs of other engineers
Able to apply IEEE and ANSI standards to the day-to-day activity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,441.75 - $80,000.00 per year
