We provide high-quality psychiatric and behavioral health services to individuals with developmental disabilities across New York State.Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide professional psychiatric services for individuals with developmental disabilities at OPWDD clinic sites. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct evaluations, provide medication management, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive behavioral health treatment. Services may be provided on-site or via telehealth depending on patient needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for individuals with developmental disabilitiesDiagnose mental health conditions using DSM-recognized criteria and develop treatment plansProvide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medicationsDeliver psychiatric consultation services for new referrals and follow-up patientsProvide on-site and telehealth psychiatric services in accordance with clinical requirementsCollaborate with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient careParticipate in the development and review of individualized treatment plansProvide crisis intervention and psychiatric consultation when clinically requiredMaintain accurate clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemPrepare progress notes and treatment recommendations after each patient encounterAssist with medication authorization and insurance documentation as neededParticipate in clinical meetings and provide educational support to care teamsMinimum QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institutionCurrent New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) LicenseCertification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through NY State Education DepartmentAuthorization to prescribe medications in New York StateEnrollment as a Medicaid and Medicare providerMinimum one year of experience providing psychiatric services to individuals with developmental disabilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience working with developmental disability populations or OPWDD programsExperience providing telepsychiatry servicesStrong clinical documentation and Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiencyCompensation: $70.00 per hour#J-18808-Ljbffr
