Each week, more than 6 million students are enrolled in TAL's online and offline education platform.About This Role:We are looking for a full-timeOn-site English Classroom Teacher to help build and teach our English Language Arts (ELA) program for 1st - 3rd grade students in San Jose, California. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who loves working with young learners and has strong experience in early literacy, reading, writing, and classroom instruction. As this is one of our first English academic programs, we are looking for someone who can not only teach effectively, but also help shape a warm, structured, and engaging learning experience for children. The successful candidate will work alongside our Silicon Valley teaching team while also focusing on the operational aspects of our business.Job Responsibilities:Teaching RelatedTeach short-term and long-term group English/ELA classes in our top designed classroom setting for Grade 1- Grade 3Plan and deliver engaging lessons in phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, sentence building and other areasCreate a positive, structured and age-appropriate classroom environment and learning needsMonitor student progress and provide feedback to parents to support long-term English growthBusiness Operation RelatedInvolve in recruitment & marketing projects – such as conduct new student evaluation, in-person events, trial classes, etc.Requirements & Qualifications:Experience in ELA, reading intervention, ESL/ELL, or lower elementary educationPassionate about the education industry, and has the strong will to motivate and inspire students; must be patient and empathetic when working with students.Excellent organizational skills and has a strong sense of responsibility.A team player who is able to collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff.Start at $70 - $90/teaching hour + $20-25/non-teaching hour + teaching commission bonus 15%-30%; Targeting 7w - 8w+ annual pay for your first year.Enjoy benefits such as medical insurance (vision/dental), 401(k), paid sick leavePotential for future leadership opportunities based on performanceThink Academy is an equal opportunity employer.
