Responsibilities – Supervise and Perform: Lawn and grounds maintenance Opening & closing of burials Assembly and installation of memorials Installation of vaults (outer burial containers) Daily work orders and interment verification procedures Preparation for burials, ensuring clean and neat gardens Grave filling, tamping, seeding or sodding Preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities Adherence to safety rules and Greenwood Memorial's standards Completion of all required training and timely performance of duties Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective leadership of the maintenance department Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment (shovel, mower, trimmer, blower, chainsaw, etc.) Ability to operate mechanical equipment (dump truck, tractor, vault dolly, utility vehicle, backhoe, etc.) Accurate tape measure use and ability to lift heavy objects Strong communication skills with staff and administration Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Understanding of safety and security practices Physical Demands: This role requires walking, standing, stooping, climbing, reaching, lifting, and other physical tasks. It also requires problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
