DescriptionWestward RouteThe Assistant Tap Room Manager is accountable for hospitality operations in absence of the Director of Hospitality. They work floor shifts to ensure Mother Road standards are upheld. Assistant Tap Room Manager Job AccountabilitiesRadical Hospitality Accountable for the Mother Road guest experience while on shiftSets the pace of service by managing Host workAssigns stations to HostsRotates Host crew for breaksAssigns side work and checks Hosts out at the end of shiftDetermines shift length and "cuts" Hosts commensurate with sales volumeEnsures that the expectations outlined in Mother Road's employee handbook, policies, hospitality SOPs and policies, and job descriptions are met during shiftAssists in the deescalation of incidents relating to Safer Bars and denial of serviceExecutes Situation Escalation PolicyExecutes the Field Quality Reporting procedureExecutes all Safety reporting procedures, including employee, guest and near missCoaches and provides feedback to Hosts on shiftTroubleshoots draft systems to ensure they are working properlyFixes or places work orders for equipment or facilities in need of maintenance during shift Corporate Services Reconciles the drawer, cash drop, tips, and change bag at the end of shiftEnsures pertinent information is communicated via Basecamp Journal and Manager JournalAll other tasks as assigned by the Director of Hospitality Job Accountabilities in Absence of Director of HospitalityCorporate Services Completes and submits the daily tips form, verifies payroll, places change orders with Executive AssistantContinues projects assigned to the Director of Hospitality by the CEO Operations Serves as the Tap Room point of contact for the Situation Escalation PolicyCompletes Director of Hospitality property walk dailyBeverage inventory managementPlaces beer ordersPlaces wine, cider, n/a ordersPoint of contact for hospitality vendorsSide Car Grill point of contactTroubleshoots other hospitality equipment and facilitiesPlaces work orders and coordinates with Facilities engineerCoordinates repair of equipment and facilities with vendorsPeople & Culture Proper documentation of coaching and discipline, including verbal and written warningsPerforms pre-shift training with new hiresPerforms daily stand up Job ResponsibilitiesBehaves as a cultural role mode; exemplifies Mother Road's purpose and valuesTable touches and checks in with guests 60% plus during shiftFinds ways to go above and beyond our guests' expectationsConnects with guests by knowing their names, preferences, storiesCreates community with regulars and welcomes new guests of the breweryPerforms MOD pre-shift walk-through and ensures the tap room is kept clean and in good repair to Hospitality On 66 standards.Takes inventory and places orders:Draft and packaged beerWine, cider, non-alcoholic beveragesTap Room suppliesTap Room merchandiseHelps coordinate and execute Tap Room eventsMonitors tap room speech and interactions for harassment and sexual violenceUses ASBA Safer Bars training to curtail and de-escalate situations of harassment and sexual violence as an active bystander per Hospitality On 66 Employee and Guest Safety ProtocolDenies access to intoxicated persons, safely removing intoxicated guests Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of hospitality experience, 1+ year of supervisor experienceArizona Title 4 Basic CertificationCoconino County Food Handler'sASBA Safer Bars TrainingCicerone Certified Beer Server Required Abilities Able to maneuver 165 lbs and team lift 165 lbsLift up to 35 lbs independently from floor, at waist level, and above waistAble to stand for 10+ hours per dayAble to twist, crouch, bend, and stoop multiple times per dayCan understand and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and handle chemicals in a safe manner Position RequirementsFull-Time/Part-TimeFull-Time PositionAssistant Tap Room Manager Close Date5/16/2026 Exempt/Non-ExemptNon-Exempt This position is currently accepting applications.
