You are a motivated self-starter, able to learn quickly, incorporate AI development tools, and communicate effectively. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our microservice architecture, owning services that power our core product offering. You will use your skills in Java, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development to deliver high-quality, efficient, and testable code.Role Responsibilities:Develop and maintain AI-driven features and servicesDesign and implement scalable data structures and pipelinesBuild and own API services to securely handle a large amount of dataCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance platform capabilitiesAbout you: 5+ years of software engineering experience; Java knowledge requiredDemonstrated enthusiasm for applying AI solutions and tools to solve complex, real-world problemsDevelop and maintain Java microservices, libraries, automated tests, and build scriptsExpertise with unitQ tech stack, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, Git, and KubernetesPerform code reviews and evaluate pull requests, helping other engineers debug and resolve problemsWrite thorough documentation and specifications with clean APIs, architecting scalable solutions capable of processing millions of new data points dailyWork directly with managed and unmanaged cloud services, including databases, data streams, message queues, container orchestrators, job automation systems, and continuous build, integration, and deployment systemsApply and advocate for healthy coding practices, AI as a software copilot, Agile methodologies, and communication strategiesNice to have: Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applicationsExperience in processing large amounts of data and working with databasesBenefits:Flexible/unlimited vacationComprehensive medical, dental, and vision401(k) planLife insurance and FSA plansStock optionsEquinox gym membership or wellness stipendAt unitQ, diversity drives innovation.
