Dog Handler

Working with Deschutes Pet Lodge you will be playing with animals outside or inside, cleaning up after animals and having a good time. Duties include handling of dogs/cats, cleaning of rooms, facility maintenance, personal playtimes with dogs/cats, overseeing groups of dogs in play, recognizing various types of animal behaviors and following facility protocols and safety practices. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Stand/walk for several hours. Work in all types of weather outdoors. Experience handling animals and customer service experience preferred. Must be able to work between the hours of 7am-6pm or 7am-1pm. Full-Time- 40hrs Part-Time- minumum 20hrs Weekends and holidays required. Shifts will be either: 6hrs or 10hrs 7am-1pm 7am-6pm (1hr lunch) Must have impeccable attendance record and reliable transportation. The animals count on us to be there to take care of them!
