We are specifically looking for a Design CAD Engineer to provide technical, program, and account management expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.Roles:Responsible for local PDM system support in coordination with global keyusers.Direct interface to global keyusers for PDM and CAD system questions, concerns, tools and techniques, upgrade testing, and local implementation of the systems.Ownership of all local PDM activities for project creation and applying roles and responsibilities for new PDM system libraries.Provides leadership for U.S. restricted PDM systems and/or CAD systems. Is the direct interface to local third-party support companies for system prove out, maintenance, and development testing.Ensures that the U.S. administered PDM/CAD systems are common with the global PDM system.Provides system setup support to new employees as needed for CAD system install and server setup as required.Coordinates the usage of global design related tools for local users such as material information database, standard hardware data base and design standards/reports database.Establishes the work split with the local IT department for system administration, coordinates with IT to implement technology updates/tools and techniques.Coordinates implementation with local IT for administration of the local CAD/PDM system.Ensures that maintenance updates and future tools and technique enhancements are communicated to the local team.Provides update training to the design team as need, trains new employees in AVL global PDM practices.Leads design automation tool development to assist with reducing the product development process for design related efforts.Qualifications/Skills:Bachelors' degree in Mechanical or related field required5 – 7+ years' experience in area of expertise in relevant (Considerable experience in CAD and/or PDM system administration)Analytical thinkingMotivatedTeam playerExcellent knowledge of PTC Creo and Windchill PDM system backend installationGood understanding of design and development processesAbility to create advanced user forms in multiple interfacesUnderstands and has used 3D CAD toolsOrganizational skillsCommunication and presentation skillsPhysical Requirements:Bending and Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
