This critical role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes, driving timely reimbursements and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulationsKey ResponsibilitiesLead and support a team of medical billers, providing training, guidance, and performance feedbackReview and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness before submissionMonitor claim denials and rejections; oversee timely follow-up and appealsEnsure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and internal policiesCollaborate with coding staff, providers, and administrative teams to resolve billing discrepanciesGenerate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvementStay current with changes in insurance policies, billing regulations, and reimbursement modelsAssist in developing and implementing billing procedures and best practicesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 35 years of medical billing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systemsProficiency in billing softwareClearinghouse Rejections knowledge is a plusExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCertification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CMRS, CPB, CPC) is a plusMental Health experience not required, but a plusWhat You Can Expect From Better Balance PsychiatryFast-paced outpatient medical officeMay involve long periods of sitting or standingInteraction with patients who may be ill, stressed, or in pain
