Power BI Developer (W2)

Technical/Non-Technical Skills • 4 years of experience in Microsoft Power BI (including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Premium per capacity, Power Query, Dax, and M formula language) • 4 years of designing /building star schemas • 4 years of dimensional modeling experience • Experience writing SQL queries for Oracle database • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with multiple assigned projects and tasks • Outstanding ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing Responsibilities and Expectations for the Role • Advise on Power BI design strategy ( i.e. architecture, workspace setup, deployment pipeline, apps, managing roles, permission levels, etc.) • Work on tasks related to migration from Tableau to Power BI • Create data sets in Power BI to replace all Tableau enterprise data sources. • Document new designs and/or changes utilizing Microsoft Word. • Create or assist users in creating new visualizations in Power BI to replace those currently in Tableau.
