CNC Machine Tool Field Service TechnicianLocation: Pekin, IL (Travel Required)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMPay: $35 - $55 per hour (based on experience)Job Type: Full-TimeWhat This Job Is Really AboutIf you're the go-to CNC expert who can walk into a shop, figure out what's wrong, and get a machine back up and running-this is your role.You'll be out in the field working directly with customers, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines. This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk job-you'll be hands-on, solving real problems, and making a direct impact on production.What You'll Be DoingTravel to customer sites to service CNC machines and equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issuesRepair and replace components to get machines back up and runningPerform machine installs, setups, and calibrationsWork with controls and diagnose system faultsRead prints, schematics, and technical manuals to track down issuesTrain operators or maintenance teams on proper machine use and basic upkeepDocument service work and report findingsManage multiple service calls and prioritize jobs in the fieldWhat Your Day May Look LikeStart your day with a safety meetingHead to a customer site or review your service scheduleArrive on-site and talk with the customer about the issue they're havingJump into troubleshooting a CNC machine-could be electrical, mechanical, or controls-relatedUse diagnostic tools to track down the problem and make repairsTest the machine to make sure it's fully operational before leavingWalk the customer through what was fixed and answer any questionsHead to the next job or wrap up documentation from the dayOccasionally, stay overnight depending on travel needsRequirementsWhat You Bring 5+ years of CNC machine tool service or repair experienceStrong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and controls systemsAbility to read and interpret schematics, prints, and manualsHands-on experience with diagnostic tools and precision measurement equipmentStrong communication skills-you're comfortable working directly with customersAbility to work independently and manage your own schedule in the fieldValid driver's license and willingness to travelBonus If You HaveExperience with advanced CNC systems or specialized equipmentAbility to train or mentor other techniciansExperience with remote diagnostics or advanced troubleshooting methods
