Personal Assistant
Job Purpose:Brecon Village is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. The Caregiver will work closely with residents, families, and healthcare staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingSupport mobility, including transferring, walking assistance, and use of mobility aidsProvide medication reminders in accordance with care plans and facility policiesMonitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional conditionAssist with meal service, feeding when necessary, and encourage proper nutrition and hydrationMaintain accurate documentation of care and services providedFoster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residentsEngage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activitiesFollow all safety, infection control, and emergency proceduresCollaborate with nurses, supervisors, and other staff to deliver high-quality care Required: High school diploma or equivalentAbility to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility Preferred Experience: Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a healthcare settingKnowledge of dementia care and senior support best practicesFamiliarity with infection prevention and control standardsExperience with electronic documentation systems Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated compassion, patience, and reliabilityAbility to work independently and proactively, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
