About This Travel Nursing Job Join a highly skilled and collaborative ICU/CSICU team in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Our 17-bed intensive care unit provides advanced cardiovascular and surgical critical care to a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics. This travel nurse position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs seeking a rewarding ICU travel assignment in the Ozarks. Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 – $1,910 (competitive travel nurse pay) Location: Mountain Home, AR 72653 – Twin Lakes Region, Ozarks (Mountain Home travel nursing, Arkansas nursing jobs) Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026) Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Unit: 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU/CSICU) – cardiovascular and surgical critical care Patient Ratios: 2:1 Weekend Coverage: Required (12 weekend shifts per contract) Orientation: 16 hours Travel ICU RN Requirements (Qualifications) Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN required, BSN preferred) Current Arkansas RN license or Compact State RN license in good standing (must be eligible to practice in AR) Minimum 2 years of ICU (critical care) RN experience; previous charge experience required Travel nursing experience highly preferred (experienced travel ICU nurse) Certifications: BLS & ACLS required; other critical care certifications a plus Experience with Cerner electronic medical record preferred Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills Basic computer proficiency required Safety-sensitive position (Arkansas Act 593) COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) ICU RN Responsibilities (Critical Care Duties) Provide direct patient care for assigned ICU patients, delivering evidence-based critical care nursing Lead and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care Care for complex cardiovascular surgical patients (CABG, thoracotomy, valve repair/replacement, carotid stenting) Manage patients on advanced hemodynamic and mechanical support (ECMO, IABP, Impella) and those requiring induced hypothermia Care for patients undergoing interventional and non-interventional procedures, general and specialty surgery Promote a healing culture and provide family-centered care for patients and families Accurately document care using Cerner and maintain high standards of clinical documentation Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams to optimize patient outcomes This is an excellent travel nurse opportunity for ICU RNs looking for critical care nursing jobs in Arkansas.
