DevOps Engineer

The RoleDemandWorks is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to support and optimize our cloud infrastructure and deployment environments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, system reliability, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement. Only candidates who meet these requirements will be considered for employment.This is a fully remote position; however, employees must be physically located within the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.Manage and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Build and maintain containerized environments using Docker and related technologies.Monitor production systems, application performance, uptime, logging, and reliability.Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes, scalability, and reliability.Manage Git-based source control workflows and deployment strategies.Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, support incident response, and perform root cause analysis.Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment environments.Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure and operational procedures.Support system upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery initiatives.Assist with cloud resource optimization and cost management.Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field preferred.2-3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Support.Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments.Experience managing infrastructure within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Familiarity with Linux administration and scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, SSL, firewalls, and load balancing.Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms.Experience with Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is preferred.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Why Choose Us?Remote-first work environment - once initial training is completed, this is a fully remote position.Competitive salary range: $90,000-$120,000 based on experience.Opportunity to work with modern cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and scalable systems.Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and innovation-focused company culture.Career growth opportunities into senior DevOps and cloud architecture roles.Professional development, certifications, and mentorship support.Great Health Insurance Benefits.Profit Sharing 401K Plan.Flexible and supportive work environment focused on work-life balance.Competitive compensation and advancement opportunities.About DemandWorksDemandWorks is a Chicago-based B2B demand generation and customer acquisition company focused on helping brands connect with the right buyers through data-driven marketing solutions.
