The position is based in Coastal Plain Experiment Station in GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying commercial cole crops fields for the distribution of fungicide resistance among Alternaria sp. using traditional and molecular methods. Candidate should have completed a Master’s Degree in Plant Pathology, and be interested in basic and applied research in Plant Pathology. Candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multi-state and multi-disciplinary team of scientists with ample opportunities to interact directly with stakeholders.Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position M.S. degree in Plant Pathology Experience with mycology and bioinformatics are preferred but not required.SkillsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Physical DemandsLight lifting, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.Is this a Position of Trust?
