Manufacturing Group Leader
The Manufacturing Group Leader will guide employees in the manufacturing department and assist in overseeing and organizing the equipment, staff, and processes on the production floor.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Cultivate a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that encourages and maintains good relationships with co-workers, management and customers.
Equal portions of daily activities overseeing production targets and problem-solving.
Review the daily production schedule with the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Guide workflow to ensure optimal use of resources with the lowest labor cost.
Verify quality control guidelines are continuously met.
Provide feedback to supervisor regarding issues or problems on the job.
Assist in training Team Captain.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Verify production meets safety and cleanliness requirements.
Assist in implementing the Norco Management System through continuous improvement efforts.
Performs other related tasks and /or special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be mechanically inclined and familiar with tools, tooling, blueprints and standardized work.
Ability to communicate across many levels of the organization.
Possess a problem-solving mindset.
Have strong organizational and team building skills.
Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Bilingual Language English/Spanish
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
