The company values continuous improvement, technical excellence, and employee development.About the RoleEIS Legacy is seeking a Programmer to develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC programs supporting production operations. The role will use Mastercam and G-code to create accurate and efficient programs for parts and fixtures, while partnering closely with engineering and production teams.The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot programming challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop accurate and efficient CNC programs using Mastercam for production parts and fixtures.Troubleshoot CNC programming issues encountered during production and make real-time program adjustments when necessary.Develop or modify CNC programs directly at the machine using G-code to minimize downtime.Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design specifications and optimize programs for manufacturability and production efficiency.Conduct simulations and testing to validate CNC program accuracy and performance before production implementation.Maintain detailed documentation of programming activities, revisions, updates, and best practices.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on programming efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing performance.Monitor industry trends and contribute ideas that can improve programming and production processes.Provide guidance and training to production personnel on CNC programs, setups, and fixtures.Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and professional development activities.Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance to production personnel regarding CNC programs, fixtures, and related production processes.Help ensure CNC programming activities support production schedules and quality standards.Assist production employees with common CNC programming and operational issues.Escalate disciplinary matters to Production Management as appropriate.Required QualificationsProficiency in Mastercam or similar CNC programming software.Experience working in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment, or equivalent technical experience.Ability to develop and troubleshoot CNC programs for production applications.Working knowledge of G-code and CNC machine programming.Strong attention to accuracy and detail.Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced production environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to provide clear technical instructions and communicate programming requirements to production personnel.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Ability to accurately convert metric units and apply conversions in practical manufacturing situations.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.Equivalent professional experience in CNC machining may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.Experience supporting production-floor CNC troubleshooting and program optimization.Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams.Core Skills & Technical ExpertiseCNC ProgrammingMastercamG-codeCNC MachiningManufacturing EngineeringProduction SupportCNC TroubleshootingProgram Simulation & TestingFixture ProgrammingManufacturing OptimizationProcess ImprovementTechnical DocumentationEngineering CollaborationMetric ConversionsEqual Opportunity StatementEIS Legacy is an equal opportunity employer.
