Closing Date: Friday May15th, 2026 or once 100 applications have been received.Position: Technical AssistantDepartment: Community Development - Community PreservationSalary: Range: $22.26 - $25.77/hourClassification: TemporaryNon-Exempt - Overtime EligibleJob Summary:Under general supervision, provides assistance in general administrative and technical functions for the Community Preservation Division within the Community Development Department. This role's primary focus will be on support for the Community Preservation Division and will also lend support as needed to the Rental Housing Business License, Barking dogs, Mobile homes inspection and Parking Enforcement sections.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneExample of Duties & Responsibilities:Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide the public with information regarding Community Development, and Community Preservation projects and programs, including counter service, answering phones, and responding to e-mails.Perform support functions for Community Development and Community Preservation projects and programs, such as business licensing assistance; code enforcement and street vendors complaints; workforce development initiatives; affordable housing projects and programs; and marketing for these programs.Establish and maintain positive working relationships with City staff and members of the public.Perform related duties as assigned.The duties listed above are not intended to be all-inclusive.
