Child & Family Therapist
Child and Family Therapists will provide outpatient individual and family therapy to Simply Mindful Counseling patients. This position will primarily work with children, teens, parents, and families.

Duties and Responsibilities
Child and Family Therapists must be properly licensed according to the State of Michigan and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics applicable to the services performed for Simply Mindful Counseling - LP, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LLP, LLMSW, LLC, TLLP are all acceptable licenses.
Perform in-person or telehealth psychotherapy services with patients of Simply Mindful Counseling, as scheduled, and per Simply Mindful Counseling policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Manage clinical schedule autonomously in a way that includes regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to sessions and meetings.
Provide patient-centered and evidence-based psychotherapy services in a thoughtful, ethical, and professional manner.
Conduct intakes, determine the least stigmatizing diagnosis, create treatment plans, monitor treatment plans, and adequately discharge patients when treatment terminates.
Complete timely written records for each patient, including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time to time by Simply Mindful Counseling or third parties within 48 hours.
Collaborate with a patient’s treatment team (e.g., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
Keep patient files accurate and up-to-date.
Engage with patient information in a way that maintains confidentiality.
Process credit card payments for services provided in a way that is consistent with Simply Mindful Counseling’s rules and regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Attend staff meetings.
Grow the goodwill and reputation of Simply Mindful Counseling when interacting with our community in person or digitally.
Engage with coworkers in a way that is collaborative, cooperative, ethical, and professional.
Participate in ongoing continuing education.
Limited licensed clinicians are required to attend weekly supervision in individual or group form.
Keep Simply Mindful Counseling’s shared space clean and tidy.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Skills Required
PhD or Master’s Degree in a relevant field
One of the following active full or limited Michigan licensures in the LARA system:
Licensed Psychologist (LP)
Licensed Master’s in Clinical Social Work (LMSW)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP)
Limited Licensed Master’s in Clinical Social Work (LLMSW)
Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLC)

Availability to complete 15 to 30 patient sessions per week, with at least 10 of those being during peak evening or weekend times (unless other arrangements have been made with the practice owner)
