Instrument Technician

Position Overview Our Client is currently seeking Instrument Technicians for on-site work at Client Fields on the North Slope of Alaska. This position observes a 14-day on/14-day off rotation schedule in a remote work environment. The Instrument Technician will work in the maintenance department at the designated field and report to the E/I Maintenance Supervisor. This position will work in a Journeyman role and develop/demonstrate skills and knowledge to allow for progression within the Journeyman instrumentation position.Your responsibilities may include:Performance of the Journeyman Instrumentation Technician duties in North Slope Operations, specifically drill sites and facilityPerforming maintenance on industrial instrumentation process control systems, calibration and testing, repairing electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic instruments, valve repair, PLC & DCS and SIS systems, and turbine controlsPerforming general maintenance functions such as troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenanceNew installation of instrumentation and control systems in hazardous/classified areasFunctional checkout/commissioning of new equipment and facilitiesProficiency using test and calibration equipmentUtilizing safe work practices and actively participating in company safety processes and programsWorking in a team environment with a wide range of personnelSuccess ProfileTakes Accountability: Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by courageously dealing with important problems, holding others accountable, and standing up for what is rightCommunicates Effectively: Invites dialogue to gain a shared understanding and influences with confidence to drive performance and achieve business results.Makes Decisions: Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethicalBasic/Required:Legally authorized to work in the United StatesCurrent/valid drivers licenseAssociate degree/trade certificate or higher in Instrumentation, related field, or foreign equivalent5 or more years of experience in instrumentation in an industrial environment5 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industryWilling and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work in a remote work location on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off work scheduleWilling and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to complete annual promotional training, set goals, and demonstrate achievement through work performance.Are you willing and able to meet the physical demands and work environment requirements outlined in this job description, with or without reasonable accommodation?Preferred:10 or more years of field experience1 or more years of experience with installation, commissioning and maintenance of oil and gas industrial equipment and automation control systems1 or more years of experience in commissioning or maintenance leadership role with track record of achievement, partnership, technical growth, and increasing responsibilities1 or more years of experience with a maintenance management system (SAP preferred)Ability to deliver Zero Incident HSE ResultsDemonstrate active leadership/participation/engagement in achieving a Zero Incident CultureAbility to read, interpret, and red-line P&ID (piping and inst. drawings)Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong computing skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and WordPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentWork in temperature extremes and adverse weather conditionsWork both in and out of a company-provided vehicleWear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, carrying material and climbing ladders/stairsThis is a Safety Sensitive position
